Description

Grazalema is the new El Chorro. With a massive range of sport climbing of all grades, located within an incredibly picturesque area of Spain just past the Village of Ronda. Grazalema is just two and a half hours away from Gibraltar, but the drive up there is worth every second of it. Sport Climbing aside, Grazalema hosts a gem known to only a few; the Penon Grande!

The Penon Grande offers multi-pitch Trad routes of up to 350 meters long, with a large range of grades on it. That said, the large majority of the routes are of an easier range, providing pleasant climbing in an almost alpine environment.

Barbary Rock Adventures offer a guided service for Grazalema (including Penon Grande) regardless of what grade you climb at. Maybe even combine your visit to Grazalema with our Trad Skills courses.
